Yes, this sounds very, very spoo­ky. I recom­mend watching »Blood and Guts: A Histo­ry of Sur­ge­ry« first. Then think about the sce­ne of Micha­el Mos­ley try­ing to remo­ve a shr­apnel from a heart while it is bea­ting. That was the first heart surgery—failing most times. But nowa­days this is rou­ti­ne.
